libsnp-sites1 software package provides Shared libraries of the package snp-sites, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libsnp-sites1
libsnp-sites1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libsnp-sites1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libsnp-sites1 *
You will get with libsnp-sites1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
